Thanks for the clarification, this makes a huge difference, because with the exception of unreleased cars like the GTR, no one has a clue about the skill level of whoever is doing the driving. I suppose the biggest thing for me is that with a track as long as this, it is very easy to lose 4,5, even 10 seconds due to some idiot on a motorcycle and a VW a 1/4 mile later. But just as you say, all the fanboys have shrines erected as soon as word of a 7 minute lap appears on the internet or a lap time 4, 5, or 10 seconds faster than insert-exotic-here. To me a much more revealing track time is the Top Gear test track. Same driver, conditions documented as wet or dry, no traffic.
